MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
In order to register for the pool, all residents must provide the following:
a. Either a General Tax bill, deed or survey (with section, block and lot) or copy of lease agreement (with section, block and lot);
AND
b. A driver’s license or current utility bill showing Town of Oyster Bay address.
Please note the following:
•Birth Certificates must be shown for children 16 & under.
•Senior Citizens must show proof of age (60 and older; for a Senior Citizen married couple, only one spouse needs to be 60 or older.)
•Residents who live in condominiums or senior housing complexes must show appropriate proof of ownership.
•Volunteer Firefighter memberships require ID card.
NANNY MEMBERSHIPS
Nanny memberships are available in conjunction with a Family Membership. In order for the individual Nanny to sign up, the following must be provided:
a. Driver’s License/Photo ID
AND
b. A written declaration from an adult member of a family pass holder stating that he/she provides day care for child members of the family pass holder.
GUEST POLICY
Pool Members are allowed up to 10 guests per day, per membership. All guests must pay the appropriate daily fee based on his/her age.
SWIM LESSONS
Classes are taught by American Red Cross Certified Lifeguards. Children must be 5 years of age or older to participate. For each session, classes are held weekdays for two weeks. Each class begins either at 11:15am or 12:15pm and lasts 45 minutes. The registration fee is $55 per child for the first two-week session with a season pass. If the same child signs up for additional two-week sessions, the fee will be $30 per subsequent two-week session. For those without a season pass, the
registration fee is $75 per child for the first two week session and $50 per subsequent two week session.
First Session: July 1 to July 12, 2024
Second Session: July 15 to July 26, 2024
Third Session: July 29 to August 9, 2024
Fourth Session: August 12 to August 23, 2024

NO WALK-INS ALLOWED. LESSONS ARE ON A FIRST–COME, FIRST–SERVED BASIS. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE SPACEWILL BE AVAILABLE!
SWIM TEAM
Registration will be ONLINE beginning Tuesday May 28, 2024 starting 9am at oysterbaytown.com/portal.
Youngsters 6 to 16 years of age may join the TOB Swim Team for a chance to compete against other Nassau Municipal Swim Conference Teams. Participants should be able to swim two laps in good form. Meets at Marjorie Post and Syosset-Woodbury Pools.
The program runs approximately 8-weeks. Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9:30am to 10:30am starting Wednesday June 26, 2024. Swim meets will be held Saturday mornings. Class meets will be Tuesday afternoons. Schedules will be distributed the first week of practice.
- RESIDENTS ONLY
- $55 per swimmer with pool season pass ($30 for each additional swimmer in the same family)
- $75 per swimmer without a pool season pass ($50 for each additional swimmer in the same family)
RULES & REGULATIONS
- THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR ADEQUATE SUPERVISION. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) who is responsible for the children and their behavior while at the pool.
- A person must be 16 years of age or older to join as an individual member.
- A “family” is defined as a married couple or single parent and all unmarried children residing at the same address.
- Bathers must wear swimsuits and/or proper pool attire at all times while on the pool deck. Street shoes are not permitted on the pool deck.
- Bathers are required to take showers before entering the pool.
- Anyone wearing diapers in the pool must have a water repellent covering over them.
- Persons using the pool, diving boards and other amenities must be capable and qualified to do so. Skill level, age and physical condition are factors to be considered.
- Lifeguards on duty reserve the right to make any final determinations.
- In case of an emergency, notify the facility operator and contact help as soon as possible.
- The following are prohibited in the pool area: ball playing of any type, pushing, running, dunking or boisterous conduct, toys, play equipment, swim fins, masks, glassware or breakables of any kind, radios, sun tan lotions or oils, and dressing or undressing, except in designated areas. Permitted flotation devices are limited to those sewn into the suit or labeled U.S. Coast Guard approved. No flotation devices with clips, buckles, belts, inflatables, etc. will be allowed.
- Smoking and consumption of alcohol are PROHIBITED at all Town of Oyster Bay Parks, including pools.
- EATING ONTHE POOL DECK IS PROHIBITED, except in designated areas.
- The Commissioner of Parks, or his designee, may adopt additional rules, regulations and hours of operation that he/she finds to be in the best interest of, or necessary for the safety of, the public.
- The pool may be used only during posted hours of operation.
- All rules MUST be adhered to or membership will be revoked. Any false statement contained in the membership application will be cause for immediate cancellation of said membership.
